It’s truly amazing how God answers prayers. 6 days ago I spent almost 6 hours of my day playing and worshipping for two of my close friends. When I came to this song, I paused upon reaching the second verse. Tears filled my eyes as I thought of the words before me. My forehead hit my guitar, and I just sat there with my face buried in the back of it. I was uncontrollably sobbing like a child. It was in that moment that God spoke to me. “Child, you are mine. I am love. Quit searching for the broken things of this world, for they will only bring you pain. Come to me you who thirst and you’ll thirst no more. I will show you love that you’ve never known. I’ll fill your empty spaces and mend your broken heart. My child, fix your eyes on me, and I’ll straighten your path.” It was incredible. It was powerful. And He’s given me a sense of peace and understanding in my current situation. God is mighty. He is powerful.
